NOC Engineer (Network Operations)
Your shift in a 24x7 Network Operations Centre begins by reviewing 50 open alerts on your monitoring dashboard — you triage a BGP flap alert on a Tier-1 ISP link affecting enterprise customers, escalate to the field team, and track resolution within SLA. Between incidents you update runbooks, coordinate a scheduled maintenance window for firewall upgrades, and prepare a shift handover report documenting all open tickets for the next engineer.
